Create a Telegram bot via @BotFather
Open Telegram and search for @BotFather. Send the /newbot command and follow the prompts. Choose a name and username for your bot. BotFather will confirm creation and give you an API token.
Copy the bot token
BotFather replies with a message containing your bot's HTTP API token. It looks something like 123456789:ABCDefGhIJKlmNoPQRsTUVwxyZ. Copy this token — you will need it in the next step.
Open your agent settings in Aioomi
Log in to your Aioomi dashboard, navigate to your agent, and open the Settings tab. Scroll down to the Integrations section.
Paste the token in the Telegram integration section
In the Telegram integration card, paste your bot token into the "Bot Token" field and click Connect. Aioomi registers a webhook with Telegram so your bot starts receiving messages instantly.
Your bot is live — test it
Open Telegram and send a message to your new bot. Your Aioomi AI agent will respond using the knowledge base and personality you configured. If something does not look right, check your agent's system prompt and knowledge base settings.
Tips
- You can connect multiple agents to different Telegram bots.
